π What is a HAR File?
A HAR (HTTP Archive) file records the interactions between your browser and a site. It is commonly used for debugging performance issues, page load errors, and content delivery problems.
π§ Steps to Generate a HAR File in Chrome
Open Chrome and navigate to the page where you're experiencing the issue.
Open Developer Tools:
From the menu:
Menu > More tools > Developer toolsOr press
Ctrl+Shift+I/Cmd+Opt+I
Click the Network tab.
Ensure the Record button (π΄) in the upper left is active:
If itβs gray, click it to start recording.
Check the box for Preserve log.
Click the Clear button to remove any previous logs.
Reproduce the issue while recording is active.
Once complete, right-click inside the Network grid and select "Save as HAR with Content" to download the file.

Open Firefox and navigate to the problem page.
Launch Developer Tools in Network mode:
Menu > Web Developer > NetworkOr press
Ctrl+Shift+Q/Cmd+Opt+Q
Reproduce the issue to capture network traffic.
Right-click on the grid and choose "Save all as HAR".
Save the file to your computer.
